Dr. Lisa Hill
Dr. Lisa Hill brings nearly four decades of experience in education, with a career spanning teaching, school counseling, administration, and higher education. She has worked across multiple districts in both rural and urban settings, in comprehensive schools and Career and Technical Education programs. This experience provides a practical understanding of how schools operate and where CTE programs often lose alignment.
Lisa is the founder of CTE by Design, an LLC focused on strengthening Career and Technical Education through clear, aligned systems that support both teachers and students. Her work centers on aligning standards, instruction, and assessment so CTE programs are coherent, intentional, and connected to workforce expectations. This approach brings clarity to instruction, consistency to practice, and stronger outcomes for students.
Lisa builds strong, trusting relationships with educators by understanding their perspective and the realities of their work. Her approach is practical, relevant, and grounded in the classroom. This allows her to support improvement efforts that are clear, focused, and aligned with instructional priorities.
Lisa has shared her expertise through presentations at state and national education and Career & Technical Education conferences. She has also served on a state board and state task force, mentored educators, facilitated professional learning, and supported leadership conversations across a variety of educational settings.

Beyond CTE by Design
Lisa is a co-founder of ForwardED Network and creator and host of Vice Principal UnOfficed, a comedy podcast sharing funny, true stories from schools. Through storytelling, humor, and collaboration, she continues building connections and creating opportunities that support educators across the profession.
